We aim to provide a personal, caring, free home visiting service to older people living in the Bicester area.
If you feel you could benefit from a little extra friendship and support, then we are happy to help you.
Who qualifies for the Good Neighbour Scheme?
Our volunteers are happy to visit anyone who
needs help, but priority will be given to those who are over 65 and living alone.
Who are the volunteers?
The volunteers are local people who give some of their spare time to lend a helping hand. All our volunteers have been checked by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS formerly CRB) and they all carry identification.
How to arrange for a volunteer to visit you.
You may like to have one of our volunteers visit you every week for a cup of tea and a chat, or you might just
call on us when you need help with a particular job or problem. If you would like to be
visited by one of our helpful volunteers, please telephone us to arrange a visit.
To ensure that people who use the service and our volunteers stay safe, we will ask you to provide us
with information such as emergency details,
whether you have any special needs and some safety questions about your home environment.
ALL INFORMATION IS KEPT CONFIDENTIAL AT ALL TIMES.
